Thirteen years on the same northwest-side routes.
Tucson Landscape Company started in August 2012 — one truck, one anchor address near Soledad and Magee, and a small crew that worked the northwest side. Thirteen years later we still work mostly the same routes — Casas Adobes, La Cholla / Magee, Continental Ranch, Oro Valley's Shadow Mountain, and out to Happy Acres in Marana.
We do the whole arc — design a desert front yard, install it, run the drip, then come back monthly to keep it looking the way it looked the day we left. We trim mesquites and palo verdes back off the roof before monsoon. We're on call 24/7 when the storms come through in July and August. And we don't charge a premium for storm cleanup — that's not how we read the job.

Thirteen years of NW-Tucson installs
Three before-and-afters from this past year.
Each one is a real project — paraphrased so the homeowner stays anonymous. Front yards, side yards, neglected backyards. The work is plain: pull what doesn't belong, regrade, run drip, set native plants, and come back monthly to keep it the way we left it.
Casas Adobes — completed September 2025
Front-yard Bermuda turf → desert design + install
Old Bermuda lawn was running $190 a month in summer water and still going yellow by July. We pulled the turf, regraded the lot for monsoon flow, dropped in compacted DG, set seven native specimens (two palo verdes, two desert museums, three agaves), and tuned a drip manifold sized for July. Two summers in and water is down about 70%.

Park Lane — completed March 2025
Bare gravel side yard → DG patio + paver border
Side yard was a flat dust pad — gravel, two dead barrel cacti, and a dripping hose bib that never got a drip line off it. We laid a curving DG patio, edged it with concrete pavers, ran a real drip manifold, and set an ocotillo border along the property line. Hose bib replaced and tied into the drip timer.

Vista de las Candelas Estates — completed November 2025
Neglected backyard mesquite → structured + cleaned
Backyard hadn't been touched since the family moved in three years prior. Two mesquites were dragging on the roof and the wall, gravel beds were full of spurge, and the drip line was buried under leaf litter. We trimmed both trees for structure, hauled three truck-loads of debris, rebuilt the gravel beds, set a six-plant agave bed off the patio, and replaced the cracked drip emitters.

What's in the monthly contract
Six tasks, every visit, every month.
No "general maintenance" abstractions. A monthly visit on a TLC contract covers these six things by name. The yard looks the way it looked at handoff — not five months in.
Gravel rake
We re-rake every gravel bed and DG path on the property. Patterns reset, edges cleaned, low spots topped off.
Agave + cactus pruning
Bloom stalks down, spent leaves removed, sucker pups pulled where they crowd. Cactus-safe technique, hand pruners sharpened weekly.
Drip flush + check
Flush the manifold, walk every emitter, replace cracked lines and chewed-through drippers. Timer dialed for the season.
Palo verde + mesquite trim
Light structural trim every visit so the tree never needs a big cut. Pulled back off the roof and the wall before monsoon.
Debris + leaf haul-off
Every clipping, every limb, every dead palo verde leaf goes on the truck. Yard's ready to live in when we leave.
Seasonal gravel "repaint"
Twice a year we top off DG, re-tamp paths, re-set the bed edges. The yard looks like it did the day we finished — not five months in.
Monthly contracts start at $140 / visit for a standard residential yard. Existing clients are first on the call sheet for storm cleanup during monsoon — and we don't charge an emergency rate for it.
